Buffs vs Utes: Campus Game Day

Heads up: the matchup on this page is sample data. The teams, records, tip or start times, broadcast, weather and lot-status details shown on the Buffs vs Utes card come from the launch design of ColoFandom and are placeholders, not live information. Please check the official CU athletics schedule for the real date, time and broadcaster before you plan anything.

What does not depend on the sample matchup is the part we care about most: how to have a good matchday with Buffaloes and Utes fans. The guidance below works for any home game at CU Events Center.

Check the schedule first

Real schedules move. Times change for television, games get rescheduled, and tickets, entry rules and bag policies are set by the team and venue. ColoFandom does not sell tickets and does not issue parking or lot permits. Confirm everything with the official sources, then use this page to plan the human side of the day.

Getting there

Boulder game days are best done on foot. Campus parking is limited and rules vary by event, so look at the official CU and city parking guidance, consider the regional bus from Denver, and expect traffic on US-36. Bikes are a classic Boulder answer when the weather behaves.

Where to meet

Pick a simple, easy-to-describe meeting point in general terms, like the Hill or a well-known campus landmark, and agree on a time and a backup plan if phones lose signal in a big crowd.

What a ColoFandom pre-game meetup is

A ColoFandom pre-game meetup is an informal gathering of fans before a game. It is not an official team or venue event, and there is no host staff, ticket or guarantee attached. When you RSVP on ColoFandom, your RSVP goes only to a ColoFandom-side list so we can gauge interest. It does not reserve a table, a spot or entry anywhere.

Meetups are meant to be friendly and welcoming, including for newcomers and rival fans. Please follow the Tailgate & Community Code: respect other people, drink responsibly and follow venue rules.

The chat room is opening soon

You may see a live chat room button on the sample card. No live chat exists yet. A matchday chat room is a future ColoFandom feature, opening soon, and we will say so plainly once it is real. Until then, coordinate with your group by text, and email us with ideas.

Stay comfortable and safe

Boulder weather swings quickly. A sunny morning can turn into a gusty, chilly afternoon, so bring layers and sun protection. Students, parents and alumni share the same sidewalks, so give everyone room.

Drink responsibly, line up a designated driver or ride home, and remember that the campus and The Hill rules and local laws apply to everyone.

ColoFandom is unofficial and independent, not affiliated with any team, league, broadcaster or venue. Scores, records and conditions shown on the card are illustrative.
