The Denver Metro chapter is the home base of ColoFandom: fans who live close enough to the stadiums to turn game days into a routine. It is unofficial, independent and run by fans.
What this chapter is
Think of it as a loose network rather than a club. It brings together people who follow the Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, Rockies and Rapids across the central metro. Members swap tips on lots, trains and pre-game spots, and find others for watch parties when a game is on the road.
ColoFandom is not affiliated with any team, league or venue, and the chapter has no official status with any of them.
How groups usually meet
Habits vary by season. For football, fans often gather in lots well before kickoff, share grills and trade game predictions. For hockey and basketball, groups tend to meet near the arena before doors open. At baseball games, patios and rooftops around the ballpark are popular spots.
There are no fixed schedules or addresses on this page. Meetups are organized by whoever volunteers, announced informally and always subject to venue rules, capacity and hours. Confirm with the venue before you make plans.
Every chapter shares the same ground rules: drink responsibly, line up a designated driver, follow venue and lot rules, and treat other fans, staff and neighbors with respect.
Travel tips
Denver is the easiest chapter for transit and rideshare. Around big events, I-25 and the surrounding streets slow down, so leave early, expect crowded lots and consider light rail, buses or a ride from friends. For anyone coming from the foothills or the mountains, I-70 can add time, so check road conditions before you drive.
Altitude and weather matter even in the city. Bring layers for evening games, sunscreen for day games and plenty of water.
Who it is for
It suits lifelong locals, recent transplants, families and anyone who wants a friendly crowd at a game. You do not need season tickets, a jersey or encyclopedic knowledge. You only need to be curious and kind.
Starting a local watch group
Want to organize something? Start by joining the interest list on ColoFandom. Tell us your area and the teams you follow, and we will let you know as others near you sign up. ColoFandom does not appoint marshals, grant official status or guarantee a venue, so treat a new group as a friendly fan-run effort. Choose a public spot, confirm with the venue directly, and keep it welcoming.
A good first step is to pick one team and one public place, then invite a handful of fans. Keep the first meetup small, and let the group grow naturally. If it works, host another.
