Elevation Disclaimer
Altitude, weather, travel, alcohol and fire safety notes for Colorado game days, plus a reminder that scores and venue info are illustrative.
Colorado game days are wonderful, and they come with real conditions. This page explains the risks and limits of the information on ColoFandom. It is general information, not medical, legal or professional advice. Please use your own judgment and look after each other.
Altitude
Denver sits at about 5,280 feet, and mountain towns and passes are much higher. If you are visiting from near sea level, you may feel tired, get headaches, dehydrate faster or find that alcohol hits harder. Drink plenty of water, pace yourself and rest. Talk to a health professional if you have concerns about heart, lung or other conditions. If you feel seriously unwell, seek medical help.
Weather and travel
Colorado weather can change within an hour. A sunny afternoon can become a freezing evening, and snow, ice, wind and lightning are all possible. Dress in layers, bring sun protection and check forecasts. I-70 and mountain roads can close or crawl, especially in winter and on busy weekends. Check official road and transit sources, leave extra time and never drive when conditions or fatigue make it unsafe.
Alcohol
If you drink, do so responsibly and legally. Plan a designated driver, rideshare or transit ride before you start, and remember that altitude can make you feel the effects sooner. ColoFandom does not encourage excessive drinking, and no content here is intended for anyone under the legal drinking age.
Fire, fuel and food safety
Grills, smokers, propane and heaters can be dangerous. Follow venue and lot rules, never use fuel appliances indoors or in enclosed spaces, keep them stable and away from tents and vehicles and keep a way to put out a fire close by. Cook meat to safe temperatures and keep cold food cold. If a rule on the day conflicts with a tip on this site, follow the rule.
Scores, data and venue information
Scores, records, times, broadcast details, weather readings and lot-status figures shown on the site may be sample or illustrative data from our launch design, and are not live. Venue details such as hours, offers, capacity and access change often. Always confirm with the team, league, venue or official source before you go.
