Fort Collins & Northern Front

Rams game days, brewery-town watch parties and the north-end commute to Denver.

The Fort Collins and Northern Front chapter is for green-and-gold fans and anyone else in the northern Front Range who likes watching sports with a pint nearby. It is unofficial and fan-run.

What this chapter is

The chapter covers Fort Collins and nearby towns. It focuses on CSU Rams athletics but welcomes fans of every Colorado team who want company for big games.

ColoFandom is not affiliated with the university, any team or any brewery, and the chapter has no official status.

How groups usually meet

Fort Collins is known for its brewing scene, and many fans enjoy meeting in public spots over a beer. Rams game days often include a tailgate near the stadium. We publish no schedules or addresses, and every plan depends on venue and lot rules. Confirm with the venue.

Every chapter shares the same ground rules: drink responsibly, line up a designated driver, follow venue and lot rules, and treat other fans, staff and neighbors with respect.

Travel tips

Heading to Denver games from the north usually means I-25, which gets congested at rush hour and around events. Plan extra time, consider carpooling and check conditions in winter, when wind and snow can close or slow roads. If you are heading to the mountains instead, remember that US-34 and I-70 each have their own weather and traffic quirks, so check before you leave.

Bring layers. Northern Colorado wind can feel sharper than the forecast suggests.

Who it is for

It is for students, alumni, locals and commuters who split time between the north end and the metro. If you want a game-day community without a long drive, this is a good starting point.

Think of the chapter as a front porch for the northern Front Range. It connects green-and-gold loyalists with pro-team fans, long-time locals with newcomers, and weeknight regulars with weekend visitors. Everyone is welcome to bring a friend, a folding chair and a sense of humor. Because the group is fan-run, a little patience goes a long way, and so does picking up after yourself wherever you gather.

Starting a local watch group

Start by joining the interest list on ColoFandom. Tell us your area and the teams you follow, and we will let you know as others near you sign up. ColoFandom does not appoint marshals, grant official status or guarantee a venue, so treat a new group as a friendly fan-run effort. Choose a public spot, confirm with the venue directly, and keep it welcoming.

If you want to organize, choose one public spot, invite a few fans and keep the first gathering small. Be inclusive, remind everyone to drink responsibly and hold the next one when interest grows.
