Elon Musk criticizes Jennifer Lopez for not warning people about her ex, Sean “Diddy” Combs. | m

In a recent episode of the popular podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, Elon Musk surprised many by questioning Jennifer Lopez’s silence on the alleged crimes of Sean “Diddy” Combs, her ex-boyfriend. The conversation arose while Musk and Rogan were discussing Lopez’s recent public support of Kamala Harris, which led them to question whether her past with Combs should affect the credibility of her political views.

The 53-year-old CEO of Tesla pointed out that, while Lopez now makes warnings against Donald Trump, “she never warned anyone about Diddy,” referring to her past relationship with the rapper and businessman. “JLo was his ex-girlfriend and now she decides to warn people against Trump, but how many people did she warn about Diddy? Zero, right?” Musk added.

Combs, known for hits like I’ll Be Missing You, was arrested in September on charges of sex trafficking, extortion, and prostitution. Prosecutors accuse him of organizing parties called “Freak Offs,” where abuse allegedly took place in a setting of drugs and violence. Since his arrest, dozens of men and women have filed sexual abuse lawsuits against him, with the youngest accuser being just 9 years old at the time of the alleged incidents.

Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with Combs lasted from 1999 to 2001. However, up until now, the singer has not been implicated in any of the lawsuits, and it remains unclear whether she was aware of her ex-boyfriend’s alleged crimes. Still, Lopez has not made any public statements about Combs’ arrest.

Musk and Rogan questioned whether Lopez’s criticisms of Donald Trump should be trusted, given her past with Combs. Musk commented, “People in the entertainment industry had to know that Diddy was abusing minors, and yet they still fed into his environment. Where is the responsibility?”

Ironically, despite his criticisms of Lopez and Combs, Musk had previously bragged about his friendship with the rapper. According to the book Character Limit: How Elon Musk Destroyed Twitter, the SpaceX CEO mentioned in a conversation with Detavio Samuels, CEO of Revolt, that “Puff is an investor in Twitter” and that they considered themselves “good friends.”

Musk, who transformed Twitter into X, has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race. He has frequently criticized celebrities who support Trump’s opponents, such as Cardi B and Taylor Swift. Now, he has added Jennifer Lopez to that list, suggesting that her political opinion may not be reliable.

Interest and debate surrounding Musk’s statements continue to grow, especially as the country awaits the results of the election, which is expected to be one of the closest contests.
