Max George reveals new health fears as he faces a gruesome lung operation after undergoing life-saving emergency heart surgery
Max George has revealed he faces another terrifying health concern, just weeks after undergoing emergency heart surgery.
The Wanted star, 36, shared that he could be forced to have another operation on his lungs, as doctors need to investigate enlarged lymph nodes in that area.
Speaking to The Sun On Sunday, Max shared that he will have a biopsy as doctors try and determine the cause of his heart problems.
He said: ‘The doctors have discovered enlarged lymph nodes on my lungs.
‘This could be a sign of what caused my heart problems.
‘I’ve got to have a lung biopsy in a couple of weeks. It sounds pretty gnarly. It might tell us what the cause was.’

Max had a pacemaker fitted after being admitted to the hospital in December after experiencing issues with his heart.
He was released in time for Christmas and has been recovering at home with the support of girlfriend Maisie Smith, 23.
Max also previously revealed that he made the heartbreaking decision to write a will after fearing he’d die ahead of his heart operation.
The performer opened up about the crippling fear he’d felt being on a ward surrounded by patients at least 30 years his senior, and told how he’d left instructions on his iPhone in case he didn’t make it.
The Glad You Came hitmaker told how being told he needed a pacemaker as the bottom half of his heart wasn’t working properly made him realise what his ‘responsibilities’ were as he thought about the loved ones he’d be leaving behind if he passed.
Recalling that ‘really scary’ and sleepless first night in hospital, Max told how he was ‘struggling to move’ and battled a number of other symptoms including a tightness in his throat and having deep, slow breaths.
Two days after writing his will, Max was thrown into panic once again after his heart rate and blood pressure dropped, with the star admitting it was the ‘worst day; during is hospital stay.
He shared: ‘It was quite close that night, it really felt like my neck was closing up and that’s when the sort of panic really kicked in. I felt like I was dying. It was the worst, I felt emotional.’

He also remembered the ‘grim’ sight of the surgeon’s hand covered in blood as he pulled his hands away, though he was also ‘excited’ at the thought of finally being on the mend.
After recovering from the surgery, the All Time Low singer was delighted as the first person to greet him was Maisie, noting that it was at this moment he felt like ‘a real person again’ and ‘had a heart’.
He said: I had a proper heartbeat by then as well. My heart rate started just shooting up. So I remember feeling my feet going tingly, because I think obviously the blood started to properly pump around. I was like, ‘Holy s, I feel alive again,’ like it was a really nice feeling.’
Though it was Maisie, who had left her panto duties and dashed up north to be by his side, it was actually Max’s mother Babs who had ‘saved my life’ thanks to her quick-thinking.

Luckily for Max, his pacemaker got fitted exactly a week after being admitted to hospital, with the singer conscious throughout the surgery, though heavily sedated

Max had been staying with the healthcare worker, 63, in Manchester at the time he began to feel ill, with the former footballer feeling lethargic, freezing cold and suffered with blue hands.
Though Max didn’t think it was anything ‘serious’ at the time, it was Babs who had made the decision for him to go to the GP.
After being sent home, Babs later insisted that they call a doctor friend for a second opinion, who informed them that Max needed to head to A&E.
