WNBA star A’ja Wilson was one of the many notable celebrities in attendance at Wall Street Journal’s 2024 Innovator Awards. The Las Vegas Aces forward won the Innovator Award for Sports thanks to her 2024 MVP season and turned heads with her outfit for the event.

In addition to wearing a unique two-tone outfit, Wilson also debuted a new hairstyle that was shorter than her usual in-season cut. Photos from the event have continued to circulate online, with the Las Vegas Aces compiling a series of pictures for an Instagram post.

In one of the photos, Wilson posed for photographers and also had a picture next to actress Aubrey Plaza. In addition, Wilson was also photographed when she gave her speech after winning her award.

A’ja Wilson and Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo were the subject of relationship rumors during the summer as fans speculated that the two were an item. Leading up to the 2024 Paris Olympics, they were seen on what many fans believed was a date while in Las Vegas for the pre-Olympic training camp.

During the Olympics, Adebayo was sitting courtside with several of his Team USA teammates to watch Wilson and the women’s team capture gold. After Wilson and Team USA’s win, she and Adebayo showed off a secret handshake, further fueling relationship rumors.

In September, when Adebayo was part of a group that was presented with the keys to the city of Miami, Wilson was in attendance. Her presence was even acknowledged by Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, who joked about her being there for Adebayo.

Their most recent public appearance was on Sunday. The two were at Kaseya Center for Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade’s statue unveiling.

While the two haven’t confirmed that they are in a relationship, between their secret handshake, public outings and the hints Adebayo has dropped online, fan speculation has run wild. Despite that, Adebayo was not spotted at the WSJ awards.
