Gold Necklace Made From Extinct Megalodon Shark Tooth Discovered After 110 Years!
The Titanic was a British ocean liner that sank on April 15, 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean after hitting an iceberg on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. The ship was carrying over 2,200 passengers and crew at the time.

The collision ruptured several of the ship’s forward compartments. As these filled with water, the bow sank, causing water from the ruptured compartments to spill into the compartments below and eventually the ship sank in just about 2 hours and 40 minutes.
There have been many articles, videos, and films produced over the years about the incident and the ship, so it may seem like there is nothing new to add.

Now, 111 years after the infamous event, ultra-deepwater intervention company Magellan has discovered a necklace of megalodon teeth in the wreckage of the ship.

The company has released a video of the necklace seen in the depths of the sea and while it is not entirely clear what the piece of jewellery would look like, it does indicate that it is a necklace.
And that’s not all!

“The world’s most famous shipwreck has been revealed as it has never been seen before. The first full-size digital scan of the Titanic, which lies 3,800 m (12,500 ft) deep in the Atlantic, has been created using deep-sea mapping,” Magellan states on its website.

“It provides a unique 3D view of the entire ship, allowing it to be seen as if the water had been drained away. The hope is that this will shed new light on what exactly happened to the ocean liner, which sank in 1912.”

It is not yet clear when this digital scan will be available and what secrets it will reveal. It is also unclear whether the scan helped explorers locate the megalodon necklace.
However, it is nice to see that an event that happened so many years ago can still surprise us and bring new information to light years later.
