Though the music industry is ever-growing and thriving, with new artists constantly debuting to leave listeners baffled by their impressive vocals, some old gems can just never be replaced as they continue to leave their marks on fans’ hearing and hearts. This list inevitably includes the likes of Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé – all major influences in the musical world.

But while the other two above-listed queens of music hold some really commendable titles and records, the Ginger from West Yorkshire, UK, seems to have outclassed both of them with one record he currently holds. And the said record is actually so praiseworthy that even both the ever-so-famous fan-favorite Childless Cat Lady and Queen Bey can’t beat it!

Ed Sheeran Now Holds a Record Neither Taylor Swift Nor Beyoncé Do

Even though his songwriting and singing career to date has earned itself to be thoroughly worthy of all the praise that it gets, Ed Sheeran still has a long way from ranking among the most influential artists in the music entertainment industry. But that doesn’t mean he can’t outshine the artists more successful than him, for the Perfect singer currently seems to be doing just that.

According to exclusive reports, the multiple-time Grammy winner, who has also notably racked up nine Billboard Top 10 Hits over the course of around two decades, will soon be adding another major achievement to his resume: He is reportedly all set to perform a concert in Bhutan, reportedly becoming the first-ever Western artist to do so in the South Asian country.

For those unversed in the politics of the said country, Bhutan pretty much maintains a low international profile despite being situated between China and India. Per CNN, only a handful of embassies are present there, with most of their international relations going through India, their primary diplomatic ally. The country also lacks the existence of many international brands.

That said, earning a concert in such a place is nothing short of an iconic feat for Sheeran. According to official confirmation from a Bhutanese government official to CNN, the tickets for this said concert are also “about 90 percent” sold out, with the stadium hosting it – Changlimithang Stadium – having the capacity to hold around 15,000 people.

What makes this feat all the sweeter is the fact that while the British Photograph singer is prepping himself to perfect the performance he will be delivering at Changlimithang Stadium in Bhutan’s capital of Thimphu on the 24th of January, 2025, other major industry giants like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé haven’t been able to even wander close to such an outstanding feat.

On the one hand, while his achieving such a commendable feat that puts even major influences like Swift and Queen Bey in the backseat is one thing, the announcement that Sheeran would next be making his splash in Bhutan came through his Instagram handle @teddysphotos. Per the post, the final dates of his fourth concert tour +–=÷x will be kickstarting from Bhutan only.

Sharing a set of the final concert dates decided for his tour, the Thinking Out Loud mastermind singer cum songwriter captioned the Instagram post as,

Final date announced for the run of shows I’m doing start of the year before Europe. Can’t wait to get back on the road, have a great Xmas and holiday break gang. China, Qatar & Bahrain on sale Dec 6th. UAE on sale Dec 7th. India on sale Dec 11th x

From the post, it’s evident that his first stop would be on January 24, 2025, when he would perform at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimpu, Bhutan. This would be followed by his multiple concert dates in India, which would continue until late February after which other countries like China, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain will get to witness his spectacularity.

Either way, one thing’s clear: Ed Sheeran has set the pedestal pretty high for both Taylor Swift and Beyoncé to cross with his concert in Bhutan!
