In a bizarre accident in Virginia, USA, 58-year-old Lester C. Harvey passed away following a tragic incident during a hunting trip.
On the morning of December 9, a member of Harvey’s hunting group shot a bear perched in a tree. The bear fell and struck Harvey, who was standing about 10 feet away from the tree’s base.
Despite receiving first aid and being transported to a hospital, Harvey succumbed to his injuries on December 13.
Harvey was described as a friendly and approachable person, known for his love of nature and passion for outdoor activities, particularly hunting.
In a heartfelt social media post, his son wrote:
“Dad passed doing what he loved most. He was my best friend and the greatest father I could ever ask for. I love you, Dad.”
Harvey’s daughter also shared her grief, writing:
“My dad was the hardest-working person I’ve ever known. When he wasn’t working, he was out hunting. My heart is shattered.”
In a similar incident in 2018, a man in Alaska was seriously injured after his friend shot a bear on a mountainside. The bear rolled down the slope and collided with him.
