Travis Barker allegedly has a big influence in Machine Gun Kelly‘s reconciliation with Megan Fox. It has been reported that the Blink-182 drummer is the one who pushed the “Don’t Let Me Go” artist to get sober in order to win the “Transformers” actress’ heart back after their split.
On Tuesday, December 3, a source spilled what Travis did to help MGK reconcile with Megan. Speaking to In Touch, the source said, “MGK really looks up to Travis. He’s a great influence on him because he’s sober and just has so much life experience.”
The source explained, “Travis has been in Hollywood and the music scene for decades. He’s also screwed up his fair share of relationships, so when MGK came to him complaining about getting dumped by Megan, he didn’t give him a lot of sympathy. It was all tough love.”
Upon learning that MGK messed things up with Megan, Travis reportedly “pushed [MGK] to stop all the nonsense and get sober.” The insider continued, “And he also intervened with Megan and convinced her not to totally shut the door. Once MGK proved that he was getting his life together, Travis orchestrated peace talks between him and Megan.”
According to the insider, MGk and Megan “got into therapy” after they got back together with Travis’ help. The insider added, “If it wasn’t for Travis kicking MGK’s butt into gear, it might have never happened.”
MGK and Megan, who have been in an on-and-off relationship since 2020, are currently expecting their first child together. In November, the 38-year-old actress broke the news about her pregnancy, uploading via Instagram some pictures from her maternity photo shoot. Along with the snaps, she wrote, “Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back.”
The “Expend4bles” actress already has three sons with her former husband Brian Austin Green. As for MGK, the 34-year-old musician is a father to 15-year-old Casie Colson Baker, whom he shares with his ex Emma Cannon.
